In 2019, SaltBlock Hospitality acquired Port-A-Pit BBQ and rebranded it Murph’s Barbecue. Our new name is inspired by great American barbecue, genuine southern hospitality, and one legendary pup named Murphy. We are a mixed-breed (just like he was) where Texas-style brisket meets traditional South Carolina whole hog barbecue.
We still use the mobile patented stainless steel pits the Port-A-Pit brand became known for and cater events both big and small! Visit us at Sparkman Wharf or place a catering order for your next event.
